Hi Terri,
Here are three questions. This is for two guys. One is HSV2 genital positive. Infection site is on penis. The other guy is HSV1 oral positive and not HSV2 positive.
If the HSV2 guy jerks his penis and then jerks the other guy’s penis with the same hand, what is the risk of transmitting HSV2 to the other guy’s penis?
If the two guys are naked and dry humping penis to penis, what is the risk of transmitting HSV2?
Would lube reduce the risk of transmission in these scenarios?

The masturbation question is not a risk for transmission of HSV 2. Genital to genital rubbing presents a small risk for transmission and lubrication doesn’t change the scenario at all.
