Hello Terri ,
I spoke to you a few weeks ago and we set up my
Western blot test ,
It was negative for type one and two ,
I was so sure this is what I had ,
I just need to know a few things before I’ll be able to move on ,
How good is the test % for hvs one .
Does it miss infections, how many cases do you know of that it’s missed ?
If I’m o+ blood type can that effect my test , I know
People have problems with pregnancy with my blood type ,
Can white discharge and dryness all the time be a cause of herpes ,
I’ve read everyone on medhelp say no but I’ve read people
Dealing with herpes deal with a white discharge and if it is do you know
Anyways to cure it ?
I’ll give you a little back ground ,
Almost a year ago I slept with a guy and one to two days later ,
My vagina swelled and it was impossible to pee ,
It didn’t hurt but it just wouldn’t come out ,
Then the discharge started creamy white ,
Then I had huge chunks of clear discharge and that was the
Last time I’ve ever had clear discharge ,
And I put yeast infection medicine in and it burnt like crazy,
I didn’t see any sores ,
These systems last for almost two weeks
Well I’ve been checked for everything under the sun ,
I just wanna cry because the worst thing in the world is not knowing
What’s wrong with you ,
I’m 21years old and I can’t get into a relationship because I’m so
Scared I’m gonna give someone something , and I can’t even say what
I have because I don’t know.

I can feel the frustration in your post.
The sensitivity of the western blot for HSV 1 (percent of people who test positive by swab test for HSV 1 and also test positive for HSV 1 on the western blot) is not specifically known. We know far more about the HSV 2 test with western blot. I have had 9 patients in 33 years who were positive by swab test for HSV 2 and negative on the western blot. I have no such data for HSV 1. And I don’t believe anyone else does either.
Your blood type has nothing to do with this.
While your episode is concerning, I don’t see any note about sores there. Did you have a lot of sores or just swelling and urinary hesitancy.
My personal opinion is that you’ve done all you can to find out if you have herpes and you are negative. I would encourage you to move on with your life. The majority of the population has HSV 1 and even in the remote chance that you do have HSV 1, the chances that you would transmit it to someone else is incredibly low. You CAN get into a relationship. Perhaps you just need to let go so you can.

But with people with hvs ,
Would discharge be a symptom ?
Since my infection my discharge has changed
It’s now white and thick and I’ve been tested for yeast ,
Bv , trinch , it’s taking away from my natural lubication and it’s drying me out ,
Have you ever seen that with hvs ?
I didn’t have sores I could see when I put yeast medicine it burnt ,
I’m honestly feel insane ,

When people have a discharge with genital herpes it is usually like water. There was a case in Portland we’re a pregnant woman acquired a new herpes infection and she had so much discharge and it was so clear that they thought of her membranes had ruptured. So no, I doubt that a thick white discharge is related to a genital herpes outbreak. So have you been treating this with yeast medicine? Sometimes with my patients, even when I don’t see east under the microscope, there is enough natural yeast present that is causing a problem that treatment, in spite of no yeast under the microscope, is helpful. They’re also now panels of test that can be run from a single swab that will detect various vaginal organisms. When I have had patients with complicated problems in that vaginal area, sometimes that panel of tests is helpful.
