Igg numbers

Hey hope you’re well,

I just wanted a bit of knowledge on IGG numbers when they fluctuate and what it means if it means anything

The range my clinic uses

Negative <0.9 index
Equivocal 0.9 – 1.1 index
Positive <1.1 index

20/7/22

Hsv 1 IGG 0.532
Hsv 2 IGG <0.500

A year later

31/7/23

Hsv 1 IGG 0.651
Hsv 2 IGG <0.500

The hsv 2 remains below the cut off range
But hsv 1 is fluctuating above

Kindly do let me know your opinion

it is completely normal for IgG numbers to vary as these are varying. the thing is, the IgG test for HSV 1 misses 30% of infections with HSV 1 so this may or may not be accurate, just in general
