› Forums › Herpes Questions › IGG Results – Confused
Hello,
I’ve done a lot of research over the last few weeks after receiving a low positive result. Here’s what I have so far:
Quest 09/07 – HSV2 1.15 igg
Everlywell 09/09 – HSV2 0.881 igg
I received a call from everlywell saying it was positive but they did not provide the range with the lab results. I contacted them to get the actual range result and they confirmed that it was 0.881 and that their positive cut off was 0.600. From everything I’ve read I can’t understand why they would be using such a low cut off for a positive result. Are they using some kind of different measurement? They confirmed that they use the Elisa test.
Thanks
I have had so many false positives with that company, I’m sorry to say. I don’t fully understand their cutoffs, but since this is a life long issue, if I were you, I would do the western blot for clarity.
Terri
