I never previously tested pos for HSV1 or 2.
I was traveling about 2 weeks ago and went to a massage parlor. Masseuse gave me a regular massage plus one-way masturbation (her hands on my penis). Towards the end of the massage, she straddled my head and grinded her crotch into my face. It wasn’t particularly hard to where my face was buried or I couldn’t breathe; however, there was certainly rubbing. She was wearing panties with maybe an inch strip of coverage over her vagina. I remember my nose coming into repeated contact with the portion of her underwear which covered her vagina. It is certainly possible that my nose and mouth may have also come into contact with bare skin (although I have no recollection of any part of my face directly touching her gentials).
None of this seemed like a big deal to me until a week or so later when I started to have some nasal discomfort. Felt my nose was dry, I was waking up with a little dried blood in my nose and started to get some congestion. This massage experience wasn’t something I routinely do, so I started freaking out– concluding that I had herpes in my nose. I spent a lot of time in online resources further convincing myself of this fact. I was regularly taking my temp (reaching (but never topping) 99 a couple of times, but usually 98.6 or less), feeling my neck for swollen lymph nodes, etc. Now that I’m focused on it, I seize on every sensation in my nose as further validation that I have herpes. I’ve looked into my nose and didn’t see anything that looks like a cold sore, although it does look irritated and possibly bumpy in one area (but I’m looking with a phone flashlight and trying to see in the mirror- hardly a clinic environment).
I’m in meltdown mode here, constantly anxious and nervous over this situation. It’s too early to get a blood test and I’m way too wound up to last 3 months. Based on my info, can you please give me your take on the risk of infection and let me know what I should be doing? Thanks,

I think your risk of infection is unbelievably low! That one inch strip of panties is enough to keep you safer, and even if you did come into contact with her bare skin, it is going to take much more contact to give you herpes. Have you ever had a cold sore on your lip? If yes, then you already have facial/oral herpes. If you did acquire herpes, I would expect more symptoms and different symptoms than the ones you having – blisters rather than dryness. but honest, I would be shocked if anyone would get herpes in such a situation. I don’t think you need to do any testing here.
