I got tested via Quest Diagnostics and the results for HSV-2 came back 1.52 on 9/19/2022 and I retested again with the Inhibition test via quest and the HSV-2 came back 1.26 but the inhibition test results came back “equivocal” on 10/2/2022. Can you better help me interpret this? And Shall I retest?

I don’t know when you last had a sexual encounter, but if it was recent, we can’t know what this test means. Can you clarify for me when you last had sex with anyone?

The CDC recommends that you obtain a good confirmatory test and the best is the western blot. There is an 85% chance that this is a false positive. I strongly suggest that you obtain one. You can do this with your own health care provider and the University of Washington or I can help you with that. Please dont’ believe this yet.
