I have oral herpes. I get cold sores every once in awhile. A few weeks ago, I performed Oral sex on someone. The person is aware I get cold sores sometimes and agreed. And after I performed the oral sex, we cuddled naked, and my genitals briefly touched the other person’s genitals. And I’m worried that I could have spread it to my genitals since my saliva was on the other person and it touched me. Would this be a risk?
No, that is not a risk. Once you have HSV 1 in one location (your mouth) it would be EXTREMELY unlikely to acquire it in a new location (genitals). I wouldn’t give that a second thought, but a completely reasonable question.
