Is this herpes?

I had my first ever sexual encounter 2 years ago, unprotected. And havent had any since. So my question is, about a 1month ago i saw a small area of redness on my penis, it was very slightly tender to touch. I jumped in the shower straight away and washed it with soup. As soon as i did that, the tenderness disappeared and when i woke up the next day there was an extremely thin layer of what looked like a scab. I peeled it and there was nothing left, no redness, nothing. This whole ordeal lasted about 2/3 days. Does this sound like herpes to you? There was no lesion, no blister, no sore, no fluid, no bumps, nothing except a small area of redness. Can herpes appear this way? The area of redness was slightly round. Iv looked online and most are saying it could be a fungal infection or something similar. But i just want to make sure and ask a professional. So yeah, the redness was a small and circular almost, kinda looked like a rectangle. Can this really be herpes? Im hoping to god its not, i have been worrying about it none stop. But im not sure. Does herpes always present itself as either lesions, bumps , fluid filled sores etc? Can it really look like an area of redness that later partially scabs, keep it mind as soon as a i showered the redness was no longer tender and slightly scabbed when i woke up. Also before this ordeal took place, i had not showered in several weeks, could that of contributed to some sort of bacterial infection down there? If this was herpes surely it would last longer? Surely a shower couldnt of made it heal instantly. Thank you so much Terri in advance for your help. Much appreciated. Thank you. Again just to clarify, my question is: Could this be herpes?

If it was only red, I wouldn’t worry but the scabbing worries me just a little. but with the shower making it better, herpes seems really unlikely to me. Was there any trauma to your penis when you noted the red area and scabbing?

Im not sure about a trauma. Do you think theres a likely hood that this is something else other than herpes? Iv seen a few doctors about it and they said its definitely not herpes but again im not sure. Could this be something else other than herpes? Even when i did have the sexual encounter it lasted for about 10 seconds at most, and we did it once. So yeah iv no idea how high my chances were of even catching it from this short single encounter.

It really doesn’t sound like herpes to me, no. And the contact was so brief and so limited, I seriously doubt that this is herpes.
