I’m so heart broken that it’s has taken me soo much money , time and emotions too still have no answers .
1.) I’ve been reading your formal and you have been stating that igg misses 25% of hvs 1 infections , why has it increased 15%?
2.) do you see Patients complain of vagina dryness alott ?
3.) I have three bumps on my butt they aren’t painful but do you think it could be herpes .
4.) I see people buy the pcr swabs from your lab , how much does that cost ? How many patients have tested positive from the swabs but no from the igg\ western blot test ? -

Sorry, I’m taking the holiday weekend a little slowly.
These honestly don’t look like herpes to me but a swab would be best. The reason I don’t think so is their distribution – they are very spread out and on both sides of your body which would be unusual for a recurrence
The reason I change the percentage from 10 to 25% misses is because we just completed a study looking at patients who have screened for herpes vs. those who had lesions that had been confirmed HSV 1 positive by swab test and how THEY tested on the screening test. When we look just at people who have been screened but have no outbreaks, compared to western blot, the screening test misses 25% compared to western blot.
I don’t recall anyone testing positive for HSV 1 or 2 that we not positive on either western blot or ELISA.
The swabs each cost $75.Terri

Does herpes cause a nonstop vagina dryness where sex isn’t the same , I can’t get wet or stay wet to save my life .
My western blot took over 10 days to get results , I was reading on medhelp that it normally takes 3-5days , I was just wondering why mine took so long ? -

Herpes does not cause vaginal dryness no. That is normally a hormonal problem and should be addressed by a GYN person for best results. The western blot almost always take 1-3 weeks to come back. I’ve never gotten one back in 3-5 days.

So yesterday both sides of my inner labia begain to feel sore I now having a cake like white discharge , it burn and only itches on my inner Labia and feels supper raw ,
I’m pretty sure I have tiny bumps on both sides and it’s kinda in a horizontal line down both sides of my labia I tryed to take a picture but they didn’t turn out clear , I’m pretty sure it’s a yeast infection because it’s on both sides but am going to the doctors tomorrow , ehh I wish this fear would go away about being a fasle negative , does that sound like anything like a herpes out break ? I know this is my last question(: -

This sounds like it could be a yeast infection to me. This sounds really nothing like herpes to me but I hope you will go in today and have a good diagnosis from your provider.
