Hi Terri, on the 11th of October 2018 I had an encounter with a woman from a bar. No intercourse took place. Only hand to genital contact. She touched me, then touched herself, then touched me. 3 weeks later, sometime in early November of 2018, I noticed a burning sensation on the right underside of my penis head (where pearly penile papules are found). I examined the spot, it looked inflamed in that spot alone, no blisters, or bumps accompanied this skin irritation. So I went to the doctor they prescribed Mupirocin 2% (bacterial cream). Within 3 days the burning sensations stopped so I stopped applying the ointment.
The burning sensation came back in December. It persisted for a week or so then went away. Again localized to the right underside of my penis head. Exact same spot. If I remember correctly I did not apply any ointments or creams to the area. However, I was still worried enough to make a doctor’s appointment.
I went to the doctor on December 20th 2018, 10 weeks post exposure and tested negative for both HSV 1 and 2 through the IGG anitbody test. Fast forward a month later, January 20th 2019 I have a rash breakout on the underside of my penis. All on the shaft. The rash was very inflamed, accompanied by dry flaky skin that would fall off when rubbed. There was no pain, itching, ulcers, blisters, or bumps associated with this rash, however there was 1-3 very small fissures in this area accompanied by mild burning. I applied cortisone cream & antifungal cream to the affected area. Within 1-2 days the fissures were completely gone and within 5 days the inflammation was gone. However there was still dry skin flakes on the shaft of my penis.
I went to the doctor, they performed a visual examination and determined it was jock Itch. Went back one week later, still they persisted it was jock Itch. Was retested on the 11th of February, 17 weeks post exposure, HSV 1&2 IGG antibody test, results, negative. Are my test results trustworthy or should I be worried?

Your rash sounds very typically like a fungal infection.
The IgG test picks up 79% of HSV 1 and 92% of HSV 2 infections.Terri

So I can trust my results is what you’re saying? Also, is the transmission rate low considering my situation? I saw no visible sores, her status is unknown.

Your results can be trusted, based on the sensitivity described above.Transmission rates? You are reportedly negative on your tests. I don’t know what you mean?
