So i got my blood test results back for hsv 1/2
Here is what i got back
Hsv 1 – out of range – 40.00h
Hsv 2 – out of range – 3.22
The last time i had a sexual encounter was probably 6-7 months ago since then i have had any other sexual encounter
Ive see. Something on my penis before but at both times it came up i was using a specific type of lubircant during master ation when i stopped it actually went away on both occasions
I was wodnering do i fall in the low postive is it possible it can be incorrect
I am a 21 yr old male im very scared at the moment i dont know what to do next
Ive been searching for answers all day ive never had urine burning when peeing as ive seen thats a main symptom I also thought since my last sexual encounter was that long ago that maybe my antibodies level would be higher if it was true that im hsv 2 postitve is this something that is true or false
And what should i tell my partner ive been with her a while but we havent done anything sexual i believe she tested and came up negative before but this was before i got tested
This is indeed a low positive value for your HSV-2 antibody test in the Center for disease control recommends that you obtain a confirmatory test. The best one is the herpes Western blot done only at the University of Washington in the United States. I can help you obtain this test if you wish or you can work through your primary care provider to get it done. Please do not panic yet about this as it may be a false positive. I am concerned however about your description of something unusual on the shaft of your penis. If this happens again, I hope you will see your clinician to have it evaluated.
