Like many people on here I obtained a standard sti panel through labcorp.
I tested positive for hsv1, which was already aware of.
My hsv2 results came back as abnormal with an igg of 3.08
The supplemental test was negative.
Per their advice I scheduled a follow up confirmation test but if it comes back both positive and negative again, I’m not sure what to do from there. I won’t be able to afford a western blot test in the near future.I have had symptoms, but my hsv1 is genital so I’m not sure if that means anything at all.

Since the supplemental test was negative, I suspect that you are not infected with HSV-2. We now have 38 subjects who are positive on the LabCorp IgG test, negative on the supplemental test, and negative on the western blot. If you are unable to do a western blot then I think you can make a relatively safe assumption that you are not infected with HSV-2. This is based on the negative supplemental test.
