Hello Terri!
Hope you’re having a nice trip. Appreciate all you do!
I had a positive HSV-1 IGG test that was 33.3 (Knew this, not a concern for me.)
I had a positive HSV-2 IGG test 3.37.
I had a follow up Supplemental test that is NEGATIVE.
This was done with LabCorp
I’ve had a Western Blot in the past due to a similar scenario that was negative. They’re expensive and time consuming to do.
Am I able to trust the Supplemental test?
One sexual interaction with 0 intercourse.
I have never had symptoms.
I do not have proof. Previous partner assured me they were negative and it is someone I do trust to be honest.
Also, why do I keep getting false positives if this is the case?
Thanks so much!
If I were in your situation, I would believe the negative supplemental – given a previous negative blot, no intercourse, it would be a slam dunk for me not to decide to do another blot.
Terri
