Hey Terri,I scheduled an appointment with you but I really just need to order the western blot. I reached out because I’m entering a new relationship and my most recent standard panel std screening came back at a slight positive of 1.71 for hsv2. I’ve had low positive results for years now and have done 2 western blots through westover, both of which came back negative (the most recent was June 2020). I just need to know if you think another blot is necessary, I’ve had 4 sexual partners since June 2020. Do you have any cancellations tomorrow? Is there any way we could just go ahead and order the western blot?
Please let me know your thoughts and thank you again for your stellar service.
Sorry, I’ve been in DC at a big meeting and didn’t see this until now. You’ve had low positives over the years with negative blots. I would be surprised, with another low positive, if you are recently infected. But as you suspect, I can’t promise that. If money is a concern, I think you would be quite safe skipping it this time. This will likely always be an issue with you
Terri
