Got my first test collected 5-19-23 and IGG result was .96 for HSV 2
Recollection test was on 6-7-23 and it returned negative
Then I followed up with another test on 6-22-23 and IGG result was 1.21
Was curious what you think of this and maybe it’s a false positive still?
I had cold sores break out around the same time I tested on my chin so I don’t know if that can affect it
Also if you’re still doing western blot appointments?
If I was exposed I think it may have been around 5-12-23. I didn’t have any sores, pain, or itching. I did have a red rash in the pubic area since the first test that still hadn’t gone away though
My HSV-1 test also came in with an IGG of 36.8 if that might affect anything
Rash has not been painful or itchy either and no blisters have developed at all. It covers a big area too which I haven’t seen any pictures that look similar to it. My pee did burn for a few days but it was also dark and kinda foamy so maybe a UTI.

Worried about the slight raise in IGG even though it was a month later. I had also tested for HSV last year in 3-1-22 and there were no antibodies so is it possible for them to just randomly show up and still be a false positive?
The slight change in IgG is not at all significant. And yes, people with a high HSV 1 index value can trigger equivocal or even low positive results on the IgG test – all are often false. It is normal for index values to vary significantly. I would guess that you are not infected with HSV 2.
