Low positive no possible outbreak

Hey Terri,
I been stalking this website since I ran across it. I recently went and got tested last week and retrieved my results two days ago. I initially went and got tested because I recently slept with this girl while my fiancé and I was on a break. Her ex, message my friend and I and told us that the girl gave her hsv2 last year. The girl denied it and said it was a false positive. She recent went and got tested and only tested positive for hsv1 not hsv2. I went and got tested and was positive for hsv1 & hsv2. I broke down because I wasn’t aware of neither. My hsv1 igg was a 22.0 my hsv2 igg was a 1.3 my supplemental even came back positive a negative. If I slept with this girl in October why she didn’t tested positive for hsv2 but only me, we had skin to skin contact I haven’t been with nobody since my fiancé besides her. I don’t have ob that I ever was aware of. I do notice when I get my period I get pad rashes which causes my skin to get dry and flaky which becomes empty. I just don’t understand and been trying to wrap my mind around this. I instantly asked the doctors to test me again immediately for a false positive I don’t get it. Where could this possibly come from.

Just a small update I constantly have like a warm tingling sensation in my vagina area due to me keep heat on the area ( I hate the cold). My vagina currently have a few red/white spot by the opening on of the vagina but it not blistery or nothing. Currently in no pain just stressed out haven’t ate in days. We have almost 100 people who have tested positive on the Labcorp supplemental test and negative on the western blot. Please – do not accept this result. Get a herpes western blot either through your own provider or I can help you. You have a very low positive and there is a good chance that this is a false positive.

Okay I guess I didn’t worded it right. With the symptoms that I’m having do you feel like that it might be a true positive at 1.13. I was also having diarrhea since last night and earlier this morning, my bowel was very loose. The warm sensation I’m having when I’m near heat. The area don’t have lesions just this few red/raw spots not pushed filled or anything.

Also the nurses called me back that this morning to let me know that the follow up results came back the same. So you think that my high positive might have affected the. Hsv2 results. Also I’m in a female to female relationship. We recently had sex thanksgiving since her jobs require her to travel. I didn’t start having these symptoms until last week. Do that mean I got it from her ?

I still am very skeptical that this is a correct diagnosis. Diarrhea is not a symptom of herpes. You need the western blot for greatest accuracy. I do think your high HSV 1 could be cross reacting with the HSV 2 test – we see it all the time.

If you have white areas on your genitalia, you should be evaluated and swab tested in person.
The timing for acquisition of HSV 2 is possible from this partner, if you have it
