Dear Terri,
31 male here. All tests were igg tests and done through stdcheck. Took a test about 4 or 5 years ago during an 8 month relationship about a month or two in. Both hsv 1 and 2 were negative. After relationship didn’t get tested.
Year of 2021 I had sex with a new partner one time, vaginal and oral. Didn’t get tested.
In a new relationship now with another different partner and have had sex countless times over the course of a year. She was a virgin when we met. Got tested for shits to see if I have anything. Low positives for hsv 1 (1.94) and hsv2 (1.22). Notified partner.
Partner from 2021 that I had sex with 1 time said she got tested after our encounter and said she had titers for hsv 1 but negative for hsv 2. Never had an outbreak ever.
I’ve never had an outbreak either. I’m just wondering if both of these are false positives. I take biotin and am on the invega trinza shot. Should I take the western blot?
Many thanks
Yes,I think you need the western blot for greatest clarity.
The problem with the slow positive results is that every now and then they’re correct. So it’s difficult to know exactly what to recommend. It is certainly possible that these are false positive results. Both of them.
Terri
