I was wearing a condom when I contracted HSV-2 a decade ago, and if North was Up, get sores 2-3” North-North-East of my shaft only 2x/yr.
How does this affect my risk of transferring it to a lady per year with antivirals?
My educated guess is condoms won’t help, since I don’t have it there—but my base transmission rate may be lower.. similar to a woman’s!
The main site of viral shedding in males is the shaft of the penis.
If I understand your “map”, do you get lesions in the pubic hair?
Condoms reduce transmission from males to females by 96% BECAUSE the viral shedding is from the shaft of the penis.

Yes, the lesions are in the pubic hair region.
If I understand you correctly, condoms would still be highly effective in our scenario. That’s a blessing and a curse, lol. Thanks! I feel better armed to explain the risks and to keep my special partner safe.
Good!
