      Hi Terri,

On september 25th I went to get a massage and the massage therapist started getting close to my genitals and asked if I wanted to continue and I dumbly agreed so I turned over and she started fondling my testicles and eventually ended up masterbaiting my penis until completion. She was fully clothed and it was dark so I could not see if she had anything on her hands. I highly doubt that she could have hypothetically scratched her genitals or mouth (simply for itching purposes) where a sore could have been present, but I also did not see.

It was a terrible mistake and I was so ashamed and have been terribly anxious about it especially because I have a girlfriend.

About 8 days later I saw that I had one red bump on the right side of my penis shaft closer up towards the head. In the days leading up I had a headache for a few days and my legs were a bit achey. I immediately went in to see a doctor and they told me there was not really a risk of contracting herpes this way. They also said the red bump did not really look like herpes. It did not hurt or itch necessarily.

A couple of weeks later I had a similar sensation where I had headache and leg pains (not shooting pain at all, general achiness) and a red bump appeared in a different spot but on the right side like the first. I went back and they said it again did not really look like herpes and no need to test.

Fast forward to yesterday (11/11) where I had headache and leg pain earier this week and then a red bump appeared in the exact same spot as the first one. I went to the doctor and got a herpes test, but they said the risk was not really there.

None of these bumps have been painful or blister really unless they were extremely small blisters that I couldnt notice, but I am extremely worried.

      A. Is it at all possible I could have contracted herpes from this experience (I know you say it is not on your forum)
      B. Would my 7 week herpes test be accurate at all
      C. Am I in danger of having sex w/ my gf

      Hi Terri,

      Thanks for your feedback.

      Some additional questions for you.

      – I got my 7 week IGM/IGG results back and both were negative. Can I trust these results?

      – Did my previous symptoms of red bumps that would appear after headaches and leg pains even sound like herepes at all? Moreover, are majority (99%) of herpes blistery/painful and turn into ulcers?

-Are headaches / leg pain (dull leg pain not shooting nerve pain) prodrome symptoms of recurrent herpes?

      – Am I being absolutely wrong thinking that I could have contracted any STD from this action of receiving manual stimulation from a massage?

If the incident that you described above is the only risk you think you had, then yes, you can trust the result.

They do not sound like herpes, no. yes, most herpes lesions, except on the labia of women, are blistered and at least tender and then ulcerate.

-Are headaches / leg pain (dull leg pain not shooting nerve pain) prodrome symptoms of recurrent herpes
They can be, for someone who actually has herpes, yes. ?

You are absolutely wrong thinking that you could have contracted herpes from someone only masturbating your penis, correct.t

Oops my previous post got cut off by accident.

What I was saying is I truly feel as if my situation mostly is not herpes considering that you sound very confident that there is no possible way for me to have contracted gential herpes by recieving manual stimulation at a massage parlor.

Due to my stress and anxiety about the subject, I ended up getting another IGM/IGG test at 11.5 weeks and both came back negative. I am just rounding this up to 12 weeks.

I have seen another red bump appear on my penis in the same spot that it has over recent months. It is not blistered or ulcerated, it does not itch, and even if I scratch it hard, it does not hurt. It is almost like a flat white spot if I stretch out the skin there. Because none of this sounds like herpes really from what I know and because my 7 and 12 week IGG test were negative, I feel as if it should be clear from herpes, but I have a few last questions for you for piece of mind:

      A. After a negative 7 and 12 week IGG test and after hearing my symptoms and exposure, is it safe to say that I 100% did not acquire herpes from this massage manual stimulation encounter (only hands to penis)?

      B. I know that I do not have herpes orally because I have gotten like 5 HSV tests this year and all have been negative for HSV1/2 and I never get cold sores. Being that I do not already have HSV1, I am understanding that my sereoconversion should be normal and not delayed, so the 12 week test should be accurate correct?

C.Does this recurring red bump that is not itchy painful blistered or ulcerated sound like herpes in any way?

      D. Can I put this all behind me?

Thanks for all of your help!

      Yes

Correct. Just a note – the HSV 1 antibody test misses 30% of HSV 1 compared to the western blot

C.Does this recurring red bump that is not itchy painful blistered or ulcerated sound like herpes in any way?
It does not, but if you have concerns, you should see a clinician for clarification of the nature of the bump

      D. Can I put this all behind me?
      Yes!
