Hi Terri, please let me know if I need to pay again as I already asked 2 biotin questions.
Some background: 5+ years ago I received oral for the first time, it was very brief. No apparent cold sore on partner. A few days later, I felt a slight “sting” while showering. I went to a NP, and she said it looked like an ulcer above clitoris area, but it was too small to swab. NP even assured me later on that it did not look like hsv or feel like hsv (no burning). I recall her even saying “I will call you with your negative test”. I tested negative for hsv igg 1 & 2 five or six times total, so I put it behind me. I then found out that the hsv1 igg misses 30% of infections, so I got the western blot. WB negative both types. I then became concerned about biotin interference (as you can see from my question). Now, I am worried about the accuracy of the WB for hsv-1. My brain will just not this go, and it seems I am constantly coming up with something new to worry about as it relates to herpes. Can I move on from this and accept that I am truly negative for both types? I’m afraid I sound crazy but your opinion would help me a lot.
Thank you,
I just purchased additional questions, just in case.
Last question to add, should I be disclosing this previous lesion since it was not swabbed? Or is it ok to move forward with the negative blot?
Thank you a lot.
I definitely think you should move on and believe the blot. it is not impacted in any way by biotin. I just rechecked that last week for someone.

Thanks Terri. One more question to help me put this to rest – given my provider thought the lesion was too small to swab, it was not tender, it did not burn or itch, this does not sound like a herpes lesion to you? I know I tested negative via WB but my anxiety is incessant.
This does not sound like herpes to me. Believe the blot
