Negative herpes test but symptoms linger

Hi Terri,was wondering what you think of my situation as it’s caused an immense amount of stress and sadness. It started when I hung out with a girl and we made out for about 2-3 minutes and before sex she tells me she has herpes. I did not know what oral herpes was and she didn’t know that it couldn’t be passed w out an outbreak.I got a good amount of prodrome symptoms about a week 1/2 after kissing the girl. tingling lips, fever, swollen lymph nodes was also tested for covid and strep throat and came out negative. So I’m certain that it’s herpes. I have sex with a different girl that I know has no stds about 5 days after I had made out with the other girl and before the prodrome symptoms come and all the sudden I get a weird sensation in my left testicle. I also get some nerve pain in my left thigh, inner thigh and sometimes calf. My logic was that after making out with her and her proceeding to give me oral sex. Some of the herpes saliva from my lips transferred to hers and then from her mouth to my penis gave me the genital herpes? Fast forward 7 weeks I get full std panel tested along with herpes 1 and 2 and it is negative. Then I wait another 3 weeks and get another full std panel and THAT comes out negative. So at this point idk what to do. I wait till 16 weeks and get tested again all 3 tests done at urgent care. And this test is negative!I also have had this weird sore on the head of my penis that has stayed there for 2-3 months and is still there right now. The doctors have said that these are papules because they have not left or forsure spots.I also got it swabbed and it was negative I have started to develop these little white dots on my upper lip that are only visible when I tuck my upper lip in. They look exactly like fordyce spots and my doctor from clinic agreed but they just came in like a week ago I think. My lips tingle from time to time and the sensations in my thighs and left testicle come less but they still come and go. don’t know what to do

Hey Terri just a follow up, I know you are busy and don’t want to rush a response. My anxiety can’t take it because of the weird muscle sensation I am having in my legs. I went and got another test at my local health clinic. This is now 19 and 1/2 weeks post exposure and it came back negative. Any thoughts on this?

I think you should believe the negative IgG results. Many people who worry about having herpes report the sensations that you report and most often, it is the result of having symptoms that might otherwise have gone unnoticed, had there not been a concerning event, like yours.If you want more certainty on this, you could obtain a herpes western blot for confirmation of your negative status. I’m not sure what it’s going to take for you to believe all these negative results, are you?
