New Positive HSV 2 Result

Hi Terri – You were very helpful to me 5 years ago around what turned out to be a false positive HSV2 Igg result. In 2013 the initial results were in the 40 range and when I got the western blot it came back negative.
I got a full STD screening in March 2017 including HSV2 and everything was negative.
Last week I got another screening and HSV2 Igg came back at 4.08. Needless to say I’m shocked and scared. I’ve never had a symptom of any kind.
From the March 2017 negative reading to the May 2018 positive, I’ve had unprotected sex with 3 partners. Two of which were only twice and the 3rd being my boyfriend of 4 months.
My OB-GYN is ordering a Western Blot test which I’ll have blood drawn for next week.
Any thoughts on another false postitve reading for the IGg test? Or likelihood the western blot shows another negative or indeterminnant result?

I think another false positive is a good possibility, yes. And good are you getting the western blot again.
