      Hello,

      – On November 26, I had unprotected sex.

      – On December 25, I noticed two small open sores on my foreskin at 2pm, they looked like paper cuts. By 7pm, they were scabs. I noticed a burning sensation flash a few times in the top of my foreskin for a couple of days. Besides that, no itching or fever.

      – On December 28, the two small scabs on my foreskin fell off.

      – On January 4, 2023, I took a rapid blood
Igg test for hsv2 and it turned out negative.

      – On January 5, the two tiny sores in the exact spot came back at 3pm. By 8pm the were scabbed over along side with slight burning flashes on and off about 3 times at the top of my foreskin.

      – Today, Jan 6, the scabs have shrunk with no feeling burning flashes so far.

Do you believe that this is herpes, or something else? Do tiny hsv2 sores typically scab over and heal that quickly?

*correction, instead of paper cuts, they look like 2 miniature dried up oval shaped lesions by 7pm on both occurrences. After a couple of days they scab over and begin to fall off.

I find the description of the sores to be quite concerning for HSV but the negative rapid test is good news at about 6 weeks out.
But the timing is off. One month out would be unusual for sores to appear so late after a new infection. If they appear again, you need to have them swab tested for HSV and typed, if positive.
