I’ve been with my gf for 5 years now. I contracted HSV 2 from her when we first started dating. I’ve never performed oral sex on her as she was scared I would contract HSV 2 orally. When she performs oral sex on me, I wear a condom. I’ve read on your forum that Oral HSV2 is not common and does not like the mouth. I’ve also read that it’s jot likely that either one is develop Oral HSV2 since we have it genitally. My question is what are the chances that either one of us contract Oral HSV2 if we perform oral sex on each other without protection? Thank you in advance.
I think there is quite a bit of confusion here.
I am assuming you acquired HSV 2 genitally from her, correct? Once you have HSV 2 in one location, it is extremely unlikely to acquire it in a new location. Not impossible, but I have only seen that happen once in 35 years and heard about it once on this forum. That’s it. If I were in your situation, I would not hesitate to give and receive oral sex without a condom and to give oral sex to her without a worry.
