Hello,
I have not had a noticeable typical blistering herpes outbreak, I know that a lot of people that have hsv2 are unaware that they have it I guess meaning they don’t get outbreaks. However, I noticed a pea sized bump beneath the skin in my mons pubis area it has been there for about 5 days. It does not have a head and is pretty firm to the touch. It does not hurt either unless I apply a lot of pressure , so my question is can hsv2 present as a small node deep beneath the skin? I know not all genital issues are related to hsv but since I haven’t had a traditional outbreak since my diagnosis I’m trying to understand what my outbreaks are and how to protect my partners when I’m having them.
While it is possible that this is herpes, I am guessing it is not. Could it be an ingrown hair? Has any professional taken a look at it?
I think it would be a good idea if you had someone take a look at it, perhaps Planned Parenthood or your own OBGYN person or a primary care provider. It doesn’t sound herpetic to me
