I don’t know if my question is posting.
I had an IGG test that said I was positive for HSV-2 but I haven’t had symptoms. My level was only 1.45:
      HSV2 IGG HERPESELECT SPEC AB 1.45 H

A podcast you gave said under 3.5 means may have a false positive: I got tested in august 2021 and got those results and got tested again and still said positive. Not sure what second test levels were. I asked my doc if I might be a false positive and she said I might be. I ordered a western blot test and asked if the lab will do it but doc isn’t sure he lab will process and mail out to a another place.

I don’t have insurance other than the VA but will pay out of pocket for the western blot test if it would confirm it once and for all.

How can I get one? Does planned parenthood do them or community health clinics?

      Thanks!

No, I doubt that Planned Parenthood does this. But I can help you with this if you wish and you can’t work this out with your own doctor. Please follow the link on this website to “get a western blot” and we can have a telehealth visit and get this arranged. We do it as part of a research study comparing your IgG result to the western blot results. I think there is an excellent chance that this is a false positive result.
