Thank you for taking the time to help me with this.
On 12/15, I had sex with a friends with benefit. I feel like I went too deep and got this painful burning feeling on my urethra opening. Thought it was because I went to deep so didn’t think much of it.On 12/16, I had an unprotected sex one night stand with a stranger.
By 12/19, I started to feel a burning / itching feeling on urethra. I tested on 12/27 and came back positive for chlamydia. Took Doxycycline 100mg twice a day for a week.
Tested again 1/10, and came back negative for chlamydia, but burning continued. Intense burning was ONLY in the morning when I peed. And it would itch too. Tested 1/20 and negative again but burning continued. They prescribed Azithromycin 1000mg one tablet.
Burning would continue in the morning only. Went to Kaiser on 1/26 to get checked for a UTI. Came back negative (including HSV1) for chlamydia and everything else.
But came back positive for HSV 2 on IGG test. Could not believe it since I had no outbreaks or symptoms. No index value provided.
1/31 started having a white discharge morning only along with burning. Burning and discharge finally stopped around the end of February. I had this burning for about 11 weeks..
Went to a clinic that provided index value. Tested multiple times (IGG)
02/07- .92 equivocal
02/17- .91 equivocal
03/01- .93 equivocal
03/14- 1.05 equivocalNurses there reassured me I don’t have HSV 2, but the results from 03/14 alarmed me. Havent gone back since. No burning or anything. Never had any recognizable outbreak. Although my lips did have this weird tingling feeling. I did get like a pimple but with no pus. No blisters formation or anything. It took forever to go away. I thought I had herpes sores in my urethra but nurse said it would be excruciatingly painful and wouldn’t have lasted this long.
What do you make of all this?
Is there a chance I have HSV 2?
Am I a candidate for the western blot? This has been extremely stressful for me. -

None of these values are positive, they are all equivocal and if you were newly infected, I would expect to see an increase beyond the equivocal range. Your continual burning is unlikely to be related in any way to a herpes infection as herpes symptoms tend to be much more intermittent than constant. Also, you’ve never had a recognized outbreak. If you want to do the western blot for greater reassurance, you certainly can. There is no perfect candidate for the blot. It is available for anyone who wants to know with greater certainty their HSV status.
