Hi Terri,
I was diagnosed over 10 years ago with HSV1 genitally via swab test. What is the possibility of me also having HSV2 genitally? If you already have HSV1 genitally are you less likely to also getting HSV2 genitally or would it be the same chance of getting HSV2 as someone who has neither?
I got a blood test done, no results yet but I have not been able to find access to the western blot here in Ontario.
Thank you
I got my blood work back, positive for both HSV1 and HSV2, but there are no Igg levels available. How can I get the Western blot or what specific further testing can I have done in Ontario,CA.
Hmmmm. Not good. yes, it is possible to have both HSV 1 and 2 genitally, but without an index value, it is difficult to know how likely that is. I can order a western blot for you and have some ideas about places near Ontario that you can get a blood draw. Or you could do another IgG through Quest labs or LabCorp – both should give you index values.

Hi Terri, how can I book an appointment with you to get this process started and get the western blot, I’m located in Toronto, so when I try to book online I can’t put in my province/postal code.
Make up a US address and phone. But you’ll need to get the blot kit. Can you ask UW to send it to you? 206-685-6066
