Hello,
I am concerned about possible hsv 2 symptoms.
6 weeks ago I had an interaction in which I touched a vagina with my fingers, however was fully clothed and there was no other direct contact . The only times I would have touched my penis was going to the bathroom and then later when I got home maybe 45 minutes later or so when I touched myself.
About 2 weeks later i started to have itching around the scrotum and a little on the penis. At first I tried fungal cream/ cortisone cream that didn’t really alleviate the symptoms. Maybe a week later I started to have some tingling on the scrotom and penis. This lasted another 3 weeks. About a week ago I started to get some pain in my feet/toes and also in the fingers. The tingling / itchiness has subsided but feet/ toes and fingers are still getting some small pain . I did an igg test 5 and a half weeks after the interaction and was positive for hsv 1 (I think long time here but never get cold sores) and negative for hsv 2 .
I have been to a multiple doctors /urologists who have seen no rash / redness etc on the skin. Skin looks fine .
However am worried about possible hsv 2 infection, please let me know what you think ? Thanks so much

I think you don’t have HSV 2 at all from touching a vagina when you were fully clothed. Any symptoms that you might have are completely unrelated to this experience

Hi Terri,
Thanks so much for your help, appreciate your help here.
Since the last post I’ve had 4 weeks of foot pain, foot tingling, similar pain in the hand as well and general itchiness /zapping on my legs but also on my upper body. That largely stopped, but now the itchiness/tingling has started again around the scrotum/penis a couple of weeks ago (still ongoing). It’s mostly when I’m walking that it flares up. I had a bit of a cold/not feeling well the last few days. It’s been 11 weeks since the interaction, and 2.5 months of all these weird feelings basically without reprieve .
With hsv 2, do itchy /tingling sensations last this long? Do people report it being worse when walking? I have no rash/lesions the skin is completely clear.
Does any of this add up to hsv 2 timeline and symptoms?
And as far as the interaction itself, does touching vs fingering make a difference? And when I got home I masturbated (45min-1 hour later).
Sorry I’m just freaking out about all these weird things going on . I can’t wrap my head around how this is possible with what seemed like 0 risk scenario
Thanks so much for your help.

No, HSV 2 symptoms generally do not last this long.
I really don’t think this resulted in transmission from your hands or fingers.
Your symptoms are really vague – I don’t think they are due to HSV genitally.Terri
