Hi, I’ve been with the same partner for ten months. It all started with 2 weeks of discharge and feeling so tired and then pain in urination, for about a week, which I thought was a uti. That was negative . I then got 3 bumps that I had swabed that came back negative aswell. They never oozed or scabbed or anything, and was only present 6 days.It then proceed with the most physical pain I have ever felt in my life, headache backpain, groin pain, . I went back to my dr and he said herpes first time out would never last only days.
And refused to give me a blood test.
I now get intermittent leg and head pain.
Am I wrong in assuming it was a false negative? I’ve been back twice with concern of the leg and back pain, and have been dismissed because of negative swab.

I live in canada I would like to get the western blot test done. These events happened in September. I would like to have final answers to put my mind at ease and to not potentially spread anything to myself and or others.

Here a better sequence of events for a timeline. I’ve been with the same partner for almost a year thus coming January. Prior to that my partner was of 5 years. And prior 10 years. Aug 30, usual unprotected sex. Felt tired for 2 weeks and unusual discharge. Sept 13 unprotected sex and start feeling pain during urination on the 16th, groin pelvic pain.which I thought was a bladder/uti. Sept19 unprotected sex, and 1 visual bum appears on the 21, 2 more on the 22. They stayed till the 27. No scabbing, oozing ext. Was swabbed at urgent care in neg results .The next 2 weeks filled with body pain, lower back. Pelvic, aches pains chills.inyernal ultra sound nothing found. And full std panel neg.
We are now into end of nov and I still get leg and backpain….
I went back to my dr 2 times and explained more symptoms, which he stated a first outbreak sorts would be painful. And last at least 2 weeks. No meds were given. I asked for a blood test he stated we all have hsv and would have a positive, because if chickenpox as a child…
I’m assuming my swab is a false negative?

Your swab test could certainly be falsely negative. Did you receive oral sex from your partner? Do they have a history of cold sores?
With all the pain you experienced, it seems concerning to me that you could have HSV.
We can arrange the blot in Canada. I’ve received 10 kits from UW that I personally can send out to people not in the US now. You will need to set up an appointment with me for the consult and you’ll need to make up a US address to do it. Let’s talk soon!
