Hi Terri, thanks for all you do here. I think I’ve read the entire forum and it’s been very helpful.
Im a straight 26 Male. I’ve never had oral or intercourse sex. I’ve had 7 massages that ended with a handjob happy ending. I’ve never touched any genitals , although I’ve touched a lady’s butt and thighs. Last September after a massage my butt got extremely itchy and I had what I thought were 2 pimples close together on my butt. They were raised and filled with yellow fluid. They didn’t scab when I popped them. 2 days after the massage I got sick with what I assumed was the flu or Covid as I eventually lost my taste and smell. I had been traveling the previous week and just assumed I had picked something up while flying through numerous airports. The itchy butt has pretty much continued since then with an occasional month or so where it hasn’t been quite as noticeable. About three or four weeks after the massage I had some pain while peeing I was tested for gonorrhea chlamydia, and those came back negative. There was also no bacteria in my urine.Since this I’ve also had occasional pain in my penis and fewer errections. Ive also had itching in my pubic area and around the base of my penis. I’ve had oral hsv1 for as long as I can remember with an outbreak about once every few years. I don’t recall ever seeing anything in my boxer area at far as blisters or scabbing like I get on my lips I’ve tested numerous times as follows.
      11/28/22
      HSV1 50.90
      HSV2 <0.91

      3/28/23
      HSV1 56.70
      HSV2 <0.91

      6/7/23
      HSV1 53.30
      HSV2 0.92 EQUIVOCAL
After the equivocal results I freaked out and assumed I had HSV2. However after doing some research I discovered further testing was needed. A week later i tested as follows.

      6/15/23
      HSV2 <0.91

      6/21/23
      HSV2 <0.91

      7/6/23
      HSV2 <0.91
All the tests were IGG through Labcorp. No values were given on the <0.91 results.

Based off this information do you think I have HSV2? I’ve ordered the Western Blot but I’ve been afraid to send it in.

I have had what I thought were pimples or ingrown hairs on my thighs and butt. Most of them are raised and filled with yellow pus when I pop them. Most of them also have a hair in the center but I don’t shave my legs so I don’t know why I would have ingrown hair. I’ve also had genital warts that i first noticed when I was 9 years old. In the past year these have occasionally been painful, whereas before that, I’ve never noticed any discomfort from them. I’m also curious how I would have gotten genital warts at nine years old? Would HSV2 affect the nerves where these are at and make them painful?
I’ve been terrified since the equivocal result so I’m hoping you can shed some light on my situation.

      Thanks!

With no intercourse or receiving of oral sex in your lifetime, you don’t have HSV 2. Period. There is absolutely no need for a western blot in your situation. The equivocal test means nothing – you don’t have HSV 2.
