Has anyone ever had their testing done through the the Mayo Clinic? I received a “value: positive. ref range/units: negative.” They didn’t and don’t provide the index value/units because they claim it provides no clinical value. Wondering if anyone has any experience with them and got a another test that corroborated the negative ref range/units. I can’t imagine they would provide a negative reference range/units only to find out it’s in the positive range from a different test.
I have been in contact with the Mayo Clinic laboratory about this and they are firm in their resolve not to report out index values, although they do have them. What that means, essentially, is that anyone who has a positive on the Mayo Clinic IgG test needs either a western blot or they need to do a test at Quest or labCorp, which report out index values. Then, if the index value is low, they need a western blot. Very very frustrating
