      Hello Terri,

      I had a lapse in judgement at a strip club. I was getting a private dance when she offered me oral sex. she proceeded to spit on my penis 2-3 times while giving me a handjob this part of the encounter lasted maybe 3-5 minutes. Then she put a condom on me and performed oral sex. What are the chances of HSV transmission? How long would symptoms take to appear in that situation?

      It’s been 7 days with no symptoms.

      I think the risk of transmission here is really very low,very low indeed, especially since you have no symptoms at 7 days out. Have you ever had a cold sore on your lip? If yes, then you already have HSV 1 which is the likely thing you would get from oral sex/saliva

      No I have never had a cold sore on my lip. Does that increase my chances of getting it now?
