My symptoms start in September with pevlic pain and cramping, one week later 3 smalls bumps appear that never crusted oozed or anything, they last only 5 days . Was swabbed at urgent care and was neg. I previously wrote to you last month and asked if my partner had a history of cold sores. I recently found out he had them as a child…I recently dis a blood test that came back positive for hsv1 neg for hsv2..This is 12 weeks after the first bumps appeared…
I’m not on any antiviral as my swabs came back neg and my door refused the blood test because he stated everyone has herpes and it would be positive, to wait until I got bumps or lesions and come back in. I had the test done at urgent care.

My questions how can I confirm if I in fact have hsv1 and what is the chance my partner will get it genital if he had cold sores as a child.

You can order your own IgG test online. There are any number of services that offer this. If you are positive for HSV 1 and so is your partner, then there is very little chance that he would contract this genitally, if indeed your HSV 1 is genital.
