      Hi Terri,

I’ve been posting here for a while. So I’ll give you a quick background. I tested negative for HSV2 and positive for HSV 1 through IGG testing. I had a few boils and inflamed hair follicles but otherwise nothing until last night I noticed a tear in my upper inner labia area near my clit. Two things happened this weekend, I didn’t take a shower for two whole days because I was camping and i masturbated my clitoris last night and I could have scratched the area. It didn’t hurt at all. The area was a little itchy on both sides of the clitoris but that’s probably because I couldn’t shower.

I tried to make an appt today but there is no openings for 2 weeks.

I have attached two pics so you can see the tear and let me know what you think. Does this look like it could be hsv1?

      Thanks

Here is a second picture to give you a different angle.

      Hi Star,
Thanks for sending the pictures. Neither of them really look like herpes to me but the pictures are not very clear. If you are really concerned I would advise you to go to an urgent care clinic for swab testing.

I feel like this is not herpes but I wanted some kind of confirmation. Can a tear be caused by other things?

It’s not irritating or anything. It’s actually hard to find I had to really lift the flappy area near my clitoris. I noticed it because it was very bright red compared to my other skin but it was very small and skinny looking red area. Barely noticeable and I could only see it with a bright light on it.

So my thought about these things that kind of thing is that there are creases in the genital area of the body. When secretions containing yeast or bacteria get kind of stuck in those creases, they can cause irritation and inflammation. Between the not taking a shower for a couple of days and masturbations, there may have been enough to get this irritation going.

Thanks for your last response. I wanted to know if this looks like HSV 1 genittally.

No Star, it looks absolutely nothing like herpes. I hope your questions will help you start sorting out what is herpes and what is not

I don’t know if I have any more posts left so please let me know. I shaved over the weekend and I found this bump on my inner thigh. I tried popping it and nothing happened. It does not hurt at all. Does it look like herpes or a cyst of some kind?

I tested negative for hsv2 back in March but positive for hsv1. I’ve never had a cold sore so I’m not 100% sure where I have it, but I’m assuming oral.

You still have posts left, no problem. I can’t tell much from this picture. Is it tender to the touch? Have you had someone look at it in person?

it is slightly tender to touch and I mean slightly. I haven’t seen a doctor because my gyno says if I’m not in pain it’s not herpes. I had attached a more clear picture

So this looks nothing at all like herpes but this looks just like irritation and friction that results. Nothing at all like herpes.
