What is the best dosage of valtrex to reduce viral shedding? Is there anything else that can be taken to help reduce shedding?
The established 07 antiviral medicine to reduce viral shedding that we’ve studied is 500 mg of valacyclovir daily. We are not aware of anything else that someone can take or do to their skin except use condoms to reduce transmission. Condoms obviously don’t reduce shedding.

Thank you are you aware of any data that shows the difference in viral shedding from 500 mg to 1gram daily of valtrex?
We know that there is very little difference between 500 mg in a gram in terms of viral shedding but in people having more frequent recurrence is, the 1 g may be more effective in reducing that frequency.
