As of last month July I was negative for both, I did not go to my Dr to get tested I went to a clinic . My results are listed above . I have been reading your forum and noticed this Even the CDC in it’s latest STD Treatment Guidelines for 2015 (you can google it if you like) warns of the false positive problem for index values between 1.1 and 3.5. I am at 3.84 is that close enough to possibly being false positive? I will schedule an appointment with my primary care physician Monday

I think the odds that you don’t have HSV 2 are less than 5%, but I certainly have seen index values in that range not confirm.. You mention that as of July you were negative for both – when was this testing done?

How can you be negative for both with an index value of 3.84? I am still very confused.

So you had a negative HSV 2 antibody test on July 15th at one place and then on August 13 you tested at a different place and tested positive for HSV 2 at 3.84? When was the last time you had sex prior to the August 13th test? I a going to give you one most post as it was unclear what we were talking about here. This doesn’t make a lot of sense unless you think you might have gotten a new infection just prior to the July 15 test. Why did you test anyway?
