Hello terri!
Ok so let me explain why i am concerned. I am a 23 year old male and i have been curious latley so went to a gay bathhouse. I realize the risk involved in these places so i was very picky about what i did. I will lay out my questions below.
1. The first time i was there i manually stimulated a mans penis with my hands (handjob) for about 2 minutes. He did not ejaculate. Not even close. I then touched my penis directly after touching his and this worries me. He also very quickly touched my penis but then i immediatley told him to stop as i was nervous about risks. He then put his hand on my butt which i dont think is a concern. He did not finger me or anything just rested his hand there. Any risk for STDS like herpes ect. From this exposure?
2. The second time i was there i again gave a guy a very quick handjob and he to did not ejaculate but i gave him the handjob for about 5 minutes. No contact with my penis until i went to the bathroom to wash my hands. I later touched myself until ejaculation.
3. I have a girlfriend who i love so i would rly hate to put her at risk. Can i continue having sex with her after these exposures? Was there even an exposure? After going i just want to emphasize that the only time someone touched my penis was very very quickly (as i explained in question 1) and like i said i told him to stop. All the events seemed to be dry, as in no bodily fluids involved. I think ive come to terms with the fact that i am a bisexual man and i need to know if i put myself at risks from the events i told you about above. I have had all the tests done a year ago and came up negative for every std known to man, HSV1 included, and have only been with 2 people i know to be clean. So if you think i am clean from this i should be ok!! I had an HIV test 2 weeks ago just to be safe and that was also negative.
Thank you so much terri you are a wonderful person to be doing this :). I look forward to your response

I think this experience presents no risk to you at all of an sexually transmitted infection. None. You can continue to have sex with your girlfriend. You had a curiosity and were careful about your exploration. Good for you.

Hi terri thank you for your words. They have certainly reassured me until this morning. I looked down there just to make sure i am having no symptoms from the event i described above and i noticed 2 small patches of dry red skin. They dont hurt or itch but r dry and red. I know you have said i wont get herpes or any other std from my event but im still nervous nonetheless and was wondering if u can give me some feed back on the patches of red skin. It has been about a week and a half since my event that you describe as a no risk event but in anycase im nervous. Have you ever heard of a case of genital herpes being given to someone in the manner of mutual masturbation or along the lines of my event? Im not having any other symptoms in terms of burning while urinating or pain in my lymph nodes. Should i just chalk this up to eczema? I so get that from time to time.
Thank you terri!
I look forward to your response. -

I have never heard of any transmitting herpes through only mutual masturbation, no. And herpes does not present as just dry skin, it’s very different than tht. I don’t know about chalking it up to eczema unless you have that, but I can say it certainly does not sounds like herpes to me.

Ok great. As we only have 2 follow ups this will be the last time hearing from me!! Ok so i have a question regarding transmission. My girlfriend and i are not agreeing and was hoping you can help. Is it possible to aquire genital herpes if you touch dirty/infected objects and then masturbate yourself? I say no way and she says yes way. We shall see what u say!!
Lastly i went back to the gay bathhouse and only masturbated myself but after touching doorknobs and walls and towels and such, place must be riddled with all kinds of things, last time going i am grossed out lol. This obviously poses no risk correct. Like i said i am the only one who touched myself but after touching dirty objects. As you can guess this is where the argument came from between my girlfriend and i!! She is accepting of me being a bisexual but doesnt want to catch anything. She wont from the situation i outlined correct? I think not however she wants your voice on the matter. All the best!

You are correct. The only objects I worry at all about are sex toys that are actively involved in a sexual encounter, going from one person’s orifices to another person’s orifices.
