i wanted to know what the risk is of transmission of hsv through mutual masturbation? Particularly during a Possible outbreak. I’ve read on Medhelp.org there is no risk or extremely low risk. Other websites have stated there definitely are risks. I did not have any skin to skin genital contact of any kind.

I agree that the risk of HSV transmission through mutual masturbation is extremely low if not absent. The only part I get concerned about when there may be an outbreak present is if the person with the herpes extensively masturbates their own genitals and then masturbates the genitals of the uninfected person, particularly if there is a lot of lubrication around. Then, the risk is still low but might be a bit higher. Mutual masturbation in the absence of the person with herpes masturbating themselves first is no risk.
Does that help? I’m sure you get the visual picture I’m talking about – I sure do!

So if the person had an outbreak there is a slight higher risk got it. The guy I’m talking about touched his penis but he didn’t masturbate himself at all. Basically he touched his penis to take it out and may have held it putting direct contact on the rough pimples I’m talking about. Then he masturbated me around my clitoris and inner vagina area and I had a lot of wetness from being aroused. Does this situation sound like a high risk? This also happened twice. The first time he masturbated me and the i him but the second time he might have held his penis a few times before putting his fingers in me.

I would also like add that when he masturbated me Extensively, but not himself. However he did hold it to take it out and maybe 1 or two times in between. His penis was dry.

The kind of mutual masturbation that I’m taking about as a small risk for transmission of herpes would need to involve more extensive self and other contact. I don’t think the situation that you are describing present much risk if any, honestly!

Ok I was examining myself today and I notice a dark blue small Round spot in my inner pubic area. Any idea of this could be an STd?

Herpes is normally not blue but red, but if this is a sore of any kind you should have it examined by a clinician.

Would a herpes sore be easy to scratch off? Also would I be able to feel it if I ran my hands over it. It looks more like something in the skin. Or even a skin color change.

No, a herpes sore would not scratch off.

How come? I thought all scabs can be scratched off. Would I be able to feel it if I rub my hand over it? What would a herpes scab feel like. Lastly, in an area where it is moist would a scab turn black/blue or dark?

Star, you are overthinking this. Vastly overthinking this. Yes, I suppose you could scratch a scab off, I’ve never thought about it as intensely as you are thinking about it. A herpes scab would not be blue-black, no.

I just wanted to say thank you for everything. I definitely would never get as detailed answers like this from my OBGYN. I am going to recommend all of my friends who go through this. Thanks 🙂
