Hi Terri,
I am HSV1 pos and HSV2 neg confirmed via blot.
I have received unprotected oral sex from 15 different people since my blot.
I have performed 10 sec of oral on one man and 30-45 sec of oral on another.
I have French kissed one person for around 5 min
I held my penis against (side by side) the penis of another man for 30sec or less. There was no rubbing as I didn’t want friction for potential transmission.
Have any of these actions put me at risk for HSV2 ?
As a leading expert on this topic have you or any of your colleagues seen anyone contract GHSV2 from the receptive oral sex genital rubbing described?
Was the french kissing a risk for OHSV2 ?
Based off the aforementioned should I get another blot or can I safely continue unprotected sex with my regular partner who is also HSV2 neg?
If I were to test should I expect a negative result based on these actions ?
Thank you
The oral sex doesn’t present any real risk for transmission – the risk there is HSV 1. French kissing is not a risk. The penis touching without rubbing does not present a risk.
I do not feel anything you’ve described as a real risk and I don’t think blotting again is necessary.
This is my professional opinion – I don’t claim to be perfect at knowing all but I am not concerned about you and HSV 2 at this point.

What about the 10 sec and 45 sec of me performing oral and the single lick (1-2 sec) of a penis head?
I personally have never seen someone contract HSV-2 orally by giving oral sex to someone else and certainly not acquiring herpes from a single lick of a penis head.
Terri
Forgive me I’m a bit confused by the first part of your answer.
Just for my clarification HSV2 is not a risk when receiving oral sex even from an unknown partner, the risk in this case is HSV1 ?
There are no cases among experts like yourself of GHSV2 due to receipt of oral sex?
What would an HSV lesion on the tongue look like? Would it be painful?
Thank you.
