› Forums › Herpes Questions › Round cluster of clear blisters formed after shaving
Hi,
First off my symptoms, I shaved a week ago with a bad razor and got pretty bad razor burn, last night my skin felt more tight than usual around the area- the surface of my pelvis. Over night, out came a round (penny size) cluster of raised clear fluid bumps, sensitive to the touch. Anything I look at online suggest herpes.
Past- I had went to planned parenthood about 3 months ago because I had an infection. (Yeast) Tested for everything else and it all came back negative. Except the culture they took for HSV because my test results were damaged in a storm. AWESOME. So I’m unaware if I have it, still.
Other causes/symptoms- I’m allergic to wheat/soy/peanuts and yet I consume It on the regular. I get clear fluid bumps on my fingers from time to time similar to dys eczema. I’ve never had a cold sore nor an outbreak before. I’ve been monogamous for 2 years and used condoms prior. I feel healthy, no colds, no flulike symptoms and tested normal for pretty much everything…however I have sciatica from when I used to dance or something similar to it since I haven’t had it diagnosed. I also break out in hives/rashes that come and go in large itchy patches, happening more often in the past few months on my legs, back or arms. (Different than what’s on my pubic region.)
I recently moved from Nevada to Colorado and all of my skin issues have been happening since I stepped foot here. Although I know HSV can be dormant for years. I know I just need to go back and get tested but scheduling has put a delay for a few weeks. So I’m eager if you have any information or advice. Is it herpes? Thanks.
If I had a patient that showed up with a group of fluid filled blisters somewhere in the genital area, I would immediately do a herpes PCR swab test. PLEASE go in today and have them swab tested, hopefully with PCR rather than culture. This is something to make time for, even though you are busy. Can you do that today? The sooner you go in the more likely you are to get an accurate result.
Terri
