I saw a sex worker two months ago and for the past 5-6 days I’ve had these red painful blisters on my penis head.
I did not have sex with her. Actually I just gave her a massage, touched her back and ass and then I manually finished myself. While I was ejaculating she touched my penis head so now I’m scared either I transferred herpes from her body with my hand to my penis or she had something on her hand and gave me the infection when she touched my penis.
They’re red painful bumps and seem typical of herpes. I consulted a doctor online and sent him a picture and he said that there was a chance this is herpes. I’m going to get tested but before I do I wanted to get more info. I’m very scared I don’t want to have herpes from such a minor encounter.

I am on day 6-7 now I’m pretty sure. Pain is still there. I have clustered painful bumps. Sex worker encounter did not have sex but hands did touch genitals back and forth . Can you please respond soon Terri, very scared as these lesions look very much like genital herpes.

saw the doctor yesterday. He also said it very much looks like herpes. he did a swab but the blisters are mostly healed after a week or so. Waiting on results.
Let me know what you think Terri. Am I really at risk despite what these doctors think?
Thanks. -

I don’t believe for a moment that you acquire herpes from the situation with the sex worker. There is absolutely nothing there to suggest transmission.
The more normal cause of red bumps on the head of the penis is candida balanitis. Could you look at pictures and see if this might be what you had?
Have you had other partners in the past from whom you might have contracted herpes?
Herpes rarely presents only on the head of the penis, also. When and by what means are you going to test?Terri

It could have been candida balantitis. Not sure. I’ve only had three long term partners who had been tested as well. I had a swab done but the sores were nearly healed. Blood tests were done, IGG and IGM I believe and they came back negative.

If the IgG test came back negative, that certainly is a good sign. And honestly, we are simply talking about your past history before the contact with the sex worker because the contact with the sex worker did not present a risk for the acquisition of herpes. I suspect you are in the clear and I don’t know what the symptoms are represented but Candida balanitis is a possibility
