In July of 2021 I had a encounter which a few days later I noticed some cut like openings in my crotch between my leg and genital area. I freaked out and about a week and a half later was the soonest my Dr could see me he said doesn’t look like herpes. Swabbed it but came back negative but this is close to 2 weeks later so maybe they were to healed or maybe It was from washing in the shower. Shortly after I started getting patches of red rash on my buttocks and back thighs also began experiencing a severe nerve pain starting in at the inner corner of the bottom of my right butt cheek. 5 weeks I got my blood tested negative. Again at 8 weeks also negative Dr says red patches not herpes doesn’t know what is causing the pain sends me to dermatologist. Dermatologist takes a biopsy of my buttocks rash determines its some random eczema like rash. In between the 8 week Dr visit and the dermatologist I also got a what looked like boil one top of butt crack took a picture dermatologist said looks like staph. I since I’ve had a few of them never got them before. I finally at 8 months go to my Dr still suffering from the pain have excepted the rash have him test my blood one more time it’s negative he sends me to a neurologist for the pain. neurologist is gonna have me do a MRI in a couple weeks. But recently as in last week I ejaculated in my pants and was not able to change and shower for about hour and a half. The next day I had inflammation on a patch or my scrotum and on the left side of my foreskin which is very painful and all of a sudden my other pain seems to have almost gone away. This is day 4 now since experiencing this and has me really freaked out. I before last July was all around healthy. Good skin no pains unless I over exercised. I’ve also been tested for every other std as well all negative. This foreskin and scrotum inflammation and pain really has me worried also that the other pain in the buttocks is more a 2 out of 10 rather than a 10 out of 10.

Also my inflammation on the scrotum is itchy and its had a couple of random tingling moments Mind you I haven’t done or had interest really in doing anything since I originally started feeling this way and all the symptoms were in my buttocks area except the original cut like openings on the inner legs. So the fact that I got some of my own fluids on myself and now this is happening it has me very scared. After 8 months that blood test should be pretty darn accurate right?? Could my own stress cause all of my symptoms. I’m afraid to make love to my now partner.

Pain in spot in the shaft and the tingling in the testicle has not gone away. I’m so scared. It hurts so bad I don’t understand this.

When you keep posting new things, it moves the post down in order. Best not to do that.
Nothing here makes me concerned that you have HSV and the negative tests and medical evaluations that you’ve had confirm that that is very likely NOT herpes. If you have pain that is severe in the testicle, that needs immediate evaluation. Herpes would not cause severe pain in the testicle.

Sorry about that I didn’t know it pushed it down. As for almost a year of things occurring in my body that had never happened before you could understand my concerns. Multiple visits to my primary care. A visit to a dermatologist and now even a neurologist.
I’ll trust you’re word and respect everything you do and have done. Making love to the person I care about most has me terrified I would never want her to go through what I am.
Hopefully the mri results show I have a pinched nerve or something causing all the buttocks and groin pain and the rashes and boils and itchy scrotum with reports of pain and tingling are all some how a side effect. All of which have been reported through all the Dr visits.
The pain has returned to just red and itching now. Antifungal for a week now nothing really changed. I suppose I’ll just go on with life and hope nothing happens if I make love to my partner.

Sorry for the delay, I have COVID and it’s been very hard to work.
if you want to be extra sure about not having herpes, you could do the western blot
But really, I don’t think herpes is the issue here, but sometimes, more reassurance is helpful. See if one of the docs you are seeing would be willing to work with you on this. And hopefully, the MRI reveals another cause for your symptoms.Terri

Sorry to hear you had covid ive gotten it 2 times and it is no fun. The mri came back as normal I was on vacation for a week and no stress of any kind mostly pain free and clear skin everywhere. Been home 2 days and not even stressed seems to have pain and tingling down there again. No sores. I dunno. I want to just believe the previous test I guess. I noticed from what my area felt like before the irritation near my head and the pain in the left scrotum could seemed similar symptoms to balantis but I really don’t know. I was scared to make love to my partner on vacation but did do oral since I don’t seem to have any symptoms on my face or mouth she seems fine and its been a week. I just need to not think about it and live life maybe ill feel better. Im not to stoked that im feeling the tingling and pain in the groin again though.

Sorry you are suffering with this pain again.
If you are still concerned about herpes being the cause, you could obtain a herpes western blot to be far more certain.Terri
