Last summer I contacted you and got a western blot after some concerning symptoms. The western blot came out negative for bothe HSV 1 and 2. I’ve considered myself herpes free since then.
Since then I’ve had one encounter, receiving oral sex a few weeks ago. This week for only one night I experienced what seemed like weird burning / chafing on the lower part of my testicle. There were no “blisters” but this raw spot for some reason was very moist. Not like a flowing discharge but almost seemed permanently sweaty? The raw spot burned to touch and felt irritated and chafed.
Is it common for herpes to appear on the testicles?
To summarize my questions:
1. Are outbreaks common in the scrotum?
2. Does this warrant more testing?
Again, this was not a “rash” but a red skin on my lower testicle that for some reason was moist or “sweaty”
This sounds nothing at all like herpes to me. Outbreaks are very rare on the scrotum, in my experience.
I don’t believe that this warrants further testing, no.
