I previously posted regarding test results. I was tested for HSV II and the results were 1.16. I have never experienced any symptoms, concerns or questions regarding this. This was apart of routine testing. My doctor was adamant that I do not have HSVII but that the results suggest that at some point there was exposure. I was terrified and very confused. I retested a little over a month later and the results returned 1.05 (equivocal). Still concerned, scared and confused. My partner of nearly 10 months was recently tested and results were negative.

At this point should I test further or be resolved that this is present? Reading information shows that anything under a 3.5 remains “suspect.” Is there a chance I could test again and the results be negative? Im starting to gather that it is a very tricky virus.

Also, I have never had any symptoms/concerns regarding this but I do recall a time I had some weird cramping. Could that have been a symptom?

Please help, Im scared and confused :/

I do not believe that cramping is a symptoms of herpes.
Given a negative sex partner, and values as low as yours, I believe you are uninfected. If you want more reassurance you could get a western blot but honestly, given that your values move down not up, I’m thinking you are most likely NOT infected
