Shaving cut or herpes

Hello,

Recently I’ve notice these 2 small cuts around the labia of my vagina. I see some people have sent in pictures and I’m not sure how to do that but anyway. They’re small open cuts and only give me any irritation when they’re touched with toilet tissue etc. My boyfriend and I are in a monogamous relationship and neither of us have tested positive for herpes. I was thinking about going to a clinic this week to get swabbed but I’m on my cycle so I would’ve liked to get swabbed before they heal so I can find out if it’s herpes or just a careless cut. Do you have any advice on weather I should just go get swabbed or if there’s any way i can tell just from looking?

If not, is there a way I can send in pictures?

I’m sorry but I can’t accept pictures on this website.
“cuts” around the labia always concern me, though they may have nothing to do with herpes, I just don’t know. It is far better to have them checked out, and do not delay until later in the week. The longer you wait, the less clear the diagnosis, or lack of diagnosis, will be. There is NO WAY to know from just looking, sorry.
