Good evening!
You are so knowledgeable and I need your help.
I recently received IGg results that I’m HSV positive with a result of 1.78. It was a shock to me because I’ve been asymptomatic and never experienced an outbreak. Is there a possibility that this is a false positive? Should I get a western blot? Thank you so much! -
Yes, absolutely! The CDC says anyone who tests positive between 1.1 and 3.5 needs a western blot. This could definitely be a false positive.
