Hello Terri,
Some background, I am a 33 year old female.
On October 1 I had protected sex with someone and on October 15 I had unprotected oral and vaginal sex with the same person. On October 19 I developed a sore throat with pus covering both of my tonsils. Not multiple pockets of pus, they were pretty much fully covered. I was fatigued but nothing else, just a sore throat, pus on tonsils. By day 7 I was cleared up. But my tongue has felt kind of weird since. Almost burnt feeling.
4 weeks have gone I have tested negative for oral & vaginal chlamydia & gonorrhea, as well as syphillis, HIV & trichomoniasis did not show up in my culture. I also tested negative for Covid-19, strep and yeast in my mouth.
My gyro will not test me for herpes. But I am scared I have something. I ordered an IGG Elisa Test online and will be going to quest labs to have it done this week.
My question is this: Is it possible my symptoms were herpes? It’s driving me crazy to not know what this is.
Thank you for the help.
I realize I should have included a picture. Thank you! https://imgur.com/gallery/siYo8Hb
I want to mention one more thing. I noticed a pimple, Im pretty sure its a pimple as it has a white head on my labia today. I get pimples often there. I also have a very faint throbbing feeling but Im two days before my period. Could this be a sign though?
Did you get test results? Generally, if someone gets oral herpes from giving oral sex, they get lesions on the inside and outside of the mouth – not always, but often.
Terri
