      I cut my arm this morning and just wiped my cold sore with the same arm, i even felt the chapstick from my lips sting on the cut
      Is it possible that herpes will enter through this cut and i will start getting sores there?

      Once you have HSV in one location, it is very unlikely you will acquire it in a new location – I wouldn’t worry about this.

      Thank you Terri. My last question is, is it possible to spread herpes through close contact? Like if i’m at dinner with someone and talking close to them, maybe droplets from my mouth fly onto their lips and infect them?

      Nope, that is not a method of transmission
