Hello,
I recently had STD testing done by LabCorp (results 4/27/2018), . everything came back negative except the HSV1 IgG test with came back positive (not a surprise) my question is the number was very high should I be concerned?
HSV1 IgG # was 50.8 positive
HSV2 IgG # <0.91 negative
I’ve had cold sores in the past and was prescribed Acyclovir which worked great. also had a rash on my neck once that the doctor said was most likely hsv1 (30 years ago)
I recently had a mild rash on my penis that last about 3 days (gone now). didn’t hurt but was noticeable, no blisters are anything.
I have a GP but used an independent test agency
any suggestions?
The number is totally and completely normal for someone who has had recurrent cold sores. Different brands of tests yield different ranges of numbers. This is fine.
Terri
ok
Hope that is helpful
